I stayed here with my youngest son for one night without breakfast. The host who let us in and showed us our room was kind, but I do had the feeling it had to go fast...but that might be just in my head . The room was not to big, but that's perfectly fine for me. The room was clean, bedroom was clean, there was enough towels. We had a supply of tea, coffee and water which was very nice. Our room was on the backside, so no view at the sea, but the good part of that was that there was less noise. So yeah overal im happy with my stay amd would do it again. You get what you pay for, so that's great.
Had a lovely stay here when we recently decided to escape London and do an overnight stay in Southend. Parking was a little challenging as all the on street parking was taken, but the hosts had pointed us to a free nearby car park which after a couple of attempts, we found and had spaces available. Check in was a breeze and the host greeted us and showed us to our room which was clean and well presented with well stocked tea and coffee facilities and everything you’d expect. Being on the garden side, there was minimal noise. Full English breakfast in the morning was delicious and cooked to order and set us up for the day! Would definitely recommend!
Fabulous little find. Rooms very clean & good size. We stayed in a sea view suite which was fantastic. Breakfast was well cooked & very tasty. Highly recommend.
The room is small but clean, the bathrooms is small for double room I wonder if it can be extended. Located in a quiet area, so it is peaceful. However if you like to be closer in town or main area it might take 20-25 mins by walk from the house. The stay in and out is a bit short than usual accommodations like check in 3:30pm and out 10:30am. The miror in the bath is a bit too high for short people like I am 5ft2 I literally couldn't see myself in there. The corner in the double bed got broke. I guess this might be happening before as other guests review & would have been fixed earlier. Tivi has no channel so, it is okay then just stay in. Anyway for the budget and warm entrance, I put it 4 .
Only stayed one night, the room was clean with a wonderful view of the river, breakfast was worthy of five stars hot and fresh I would definitely stay there again
Pleasant comfortable guest house. Was easy to park car outside. Room was overlooking the rear garden but comfortable and we slept very well. Only supplied with one toilet roll but maybe previous guests have been a tad light fingered. We were met by a very pleasant owner. Breakfast was excellent and deserves a score of 10 out of 10. I would certainly stay here again but my wife is undecided. Overall a relaxed lovely weekend.
Stay was lovely,the room was excellent, hostess polite warm and friendly. Only bug bear was breakfast was hoping for more than one sausage. I hope that changes in time for next visit. Highly recommend will come again.
